Alexandra Hetherington Breckenridge is an American actress. She started her acting career by playing supporting roles in the teen-oriented films Big Fat Liar (2002, 2006) and She's the Man (2006). Later, she played the role of reporter Willa McPherson in FX's show Dirt. She also had a supporting part in FX's short-lived show The Ex List. She played Kaylee, a young Moira on the very first season of FX's American Horror Story. She portrayed Jessie Anderson in the AMC series The Walking Dead and Sophie in the NBC series This Is Us. She also voices of various characters in the comedy show Family Guy. Since the year 2019, she has appeared as Melinda "Mel" Monroe in the Netflix series Virgin River. Breckenridge was born in Darien in Connecticut. She moved to California with her mother at the age of 10. They were able to move around for a year before eventually moving to Mill Valley. Breckenridge was 13 when she started to develop an interest in photography, acting and singing. Breckenridge moved to Los Angeles with her mother when she was just 15 years old to pursue an acting career.
