Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thay fighter. She is currently a fighter within the UFC Flyweight division. She is the younger sister of the fellow UFC fighter and former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko started her professional career as a Muay Thai boxer. She debuted in 2003, at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko was the winner of the event and beat Suzane Milliner in a unanimous vote. Antonina Shevchenko was awarded another medal in 2007 with a bronze, a silver in 2008 and a gold in 2011, and won in the position of IFMA Amateur World MuayThai Champion in the year 2016. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina knocked out Nievera using her striking skills that were superior at the end of the fight with knees placed on her body. Following this victory, Antonina received a UFC contract. Antonina Shevchenko debuted in UFC during her debut at the TUF Finals TUF Heavy Hitting fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko took victory in a unanimous victory, however she was defeated in her next fight by Roxanne Modafferi in the split decision. Antonina rebounded from the defeat and fought Lucie Prudilova's fight in UFC on ESPN Covingtonvs. Lawler with a rear naked choke. It was the best fight of the night for that bout. Shevchenko was 1-2 over the next three fights. She beat Ariane Lipski and lost to Katlyn Chokagian and Andrea Lee.
