Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thay fighter. She is currently a fighter within the UFC Flyweight division. She is the younger sister of the fellow UFC fighter and former UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko started her professional career as a Muay Thai boxer. She debuted in 2003, at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko was the winner of the event and beat Suzane Milliner in a unanimous vote. Antonina Shevchenko was awarded another medal in 2007 with a bronze, a silver in 2008 and a gold in 2011, and won in the position of IFMA Amateur World MuayThai Champion in the year 2016. Antonia began her professional journey in 2003. She was the winner of an award at the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship in 2012. She also won the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship in 2016 and the WMC as well as the Phoenix FC World Championships in 2016. Antonina fought Isa Tidblad Keskikangas last time at the Phoenix Fighting Championship. The fight was won by an unanimous decision. Antonina Schevchenko began career-long MMA professional career back in the year 2002 after a win over Anara Baanova in the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan. She was victorious in the second round TKO after which she won 2 more fights at WXF X-Impact World Championships to earn a 3-0 record. Shevchenko committed herself to kickboxing as she took a prolonged break in MMA. She came back in 2017, when she fought Anissa Hasdaoui. Shevchenko beat Anissa by unanimous decision, and then she defeated Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. She left the promotion in 2018 and joined Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina knocked out Nievera using her striking skills that were superior at the end of the fight with knees placed on her body. Following this victory, Antonina received a UFC contract. Antonina Shevchenko debuted in UFC during her debut at the TUF Finals TUF Heavy Hitting fight against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko took victory in a unanimous victory, however she was defeated in her next fight by Roxanne Modafferi in the split decision. Antonina rebounded from the defeat and fought Lucie Prudilova's fight in UFC on ESPN Covingtonvs. Lawler with a rear naked choke. It was the best fight of the night for that bout. Shevchenko was 1-2 over the next three fights. She beat Ariane Lipski and lost to Katlyn Chokagian and Andrea Lee. Antonina lost her last fight to Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos -Walker.
